Our story
We listened first.Then we designed.
We spent years listening to founders, principals, teachers and parents. Those conversations became Witstuners, the architects of the School Operating System: we find where a school’s departments leak and fix the design.
The question that started it
Why were capable leaders reacting instead of leading?
Different schools, different cities. The same pressure kept returning.
It wasn’t commitment.
School leaders cared deeply.
It wasn’t effort.
Most were already working harder than ever.
It wasn’t experience.
Even capable leaders were pulled into reaction.
The missing piece was design: the gaps between departments that nobody owned.
The idea we built on
The Visibility Loop.
Those conversations gave us one model. Every school runs as a loop: from founders and management, through principals, to teachers, students and parents, and back to principals. When one link loses sight of the next, the whole school feels it.
- Founders & managementThe head. Where change starts.
- PrincipalsThe key. Every link passes through them.
- TeachersTurn intent into the classroom.
- StudentsWhere outcomes show.
- ParentsWhere trust is won or lost, then back to principals.
Founders set the direction. Principals hold the loop together. Everything we build starts here.
Founder’s perspective
Education wasn’t the plan. It became the mission.
After more than a decade fixing operations in retail, restaurant chains, real estate and manufacturing, helping businesses in India, the USA, New Zealand, Denmark and Ireland grow from million-dollar to multi-million-dollar companies, one question became impossible to ignore.
Why do good schools keep struggling with problems everyone can feel, but few can clearly see?
Coming from a family of teachers and retired principals, I knew it wasn’t a lack of commitment. Conversations with founders, principals, teachers and parents showed the same pattern: the challenges came from gaps between departments that nobody owned.
That became the foundation for Witstuners: helping schools find those gaps, redesign how they run, and grow with greater confidence.

What that work became
One idea, three ways to begin.
The research didn’t become one product. It became a connected way to learn, diagnose and run a school as one system.
